“Life happened all at once, over a long period of time, and, indeed, never at all.”
 - After Hunger - Act 5 - Once a Boy Always a Tree -

After Hunger is an experimental theatre work invoking the neccessity for change
as integral to the human condition. Challanging the contemporary zeitgeist of control, regulation, and stasis, it parallels the life cycle of butterflies with the human capacity for growth in the face of trauma and mental illness.

Intimate and mystical, it seamlessley transports an audience to a Nabokovian dreamland where these concepts can be confronted and grappled with.

Crossing quasi-Shakespearean monologue, experimental casseette noise
Olipean Opera, and alt-human forged-insect war, it is a provoking,
rare and original work.

Produced and performed by myself and Ushara Dilrukshan.
